As President of the Mauritius Red Cross Society, I am deeply honored to lead an organization rooted in the principles of humanity, neutrality, and solidarity. Every day, our volunteers, youth, staff, and partners come together to respond to urgent needs, strengthen community resilience, and build a safer, more equitable future for all.
In a world shaped by climate challenges, health crises, and social vulnerabilities, our mission remains clear: to protect life, alleviate suffering, and uphold human dignity. In Mauritius, this means being present before, during, and after emergencies, whether responding to cyclones, floods, pandemics, or supporting those facing hardship.
We are proud to serve as an auxiliary to public authorities in the humanitarian field, and we remain committed to working hand in hand with government institutions, local communities, and our regional and international partners.
